Thor spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster, has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It's while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth. (Paramount Pictures, Marvel Studios)

I really enjoyed it. It was slightly long or perhaps underwritten, a lot of the cast didn't get much to do. The architecture of Asgard was kind of blurry but that may have been the 3D which added little. The sound of the hammer strikes and The Destroyer's blasts were great and really added to the action scenes. [spoiler] Fury shows up with the cosmic cube after the credits.

Charming and funny.

When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. In an assignment unlike any he's ever known, he learns he's part of a government experiment called the "Source Code," a program that enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last 8 minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter re-lives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, until he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack. (Summit Entertainment)

Jones' first film Moon was like a feature length Twilight Zone episode this is Quantum Leap right down to a voice cameo from Scott Bakula. I enjoyed it but as someone who has watched a lot of science fiction television shows it was puzzling to see the same thing at the cinema. Mark Kermode in his review talked about it having a big budget but with maybe 3 sets, 2-3 locations and some aerial train shots this could have been a TV pilot right down to the special effects.
